All Ages

We are always glad when age groups come together and have various opportunities for all ages.  Contact the church office for information on any of these events.

  • Activities for Various Ages

American Red Cross Blood Drives - These are scheduled numerous times throughout the year, dates are publicized in advance and appointments are preferred.

Mission Trips and Service Projects - Our church does participate in various mission trips and service projects.  Our Youth head out on a major trip each summer and engage in service projects monthly as part of their regular meetings.  Watch for announcements on these great events!

Softball Team - The CUMC Softball team plays in the spring from about May - July.  We play in a league with other churches, however all games are hosted on our own ball field.  This is a co-ed league and anyone 16 and up can come out and play.  We also encourage spectators to cheer everyone on!

  • Annual Events for all ages

Moving Up Sunday - Every year on Moving Up Sunday, we celebrate our children and youth "moving up" in Sunday School and the start of a new year!  Children are able to meet their new teachers and break the ice.

Church Picnic - Every year in September  we have a church-wide picnic.  There are games and contests, food, bonfire, s'mores and much more!  This event is a great time  for ALL ages and we truly have something for everyone.

College Boxes - To let our college students know that we are thinking of, and praying for, them while they are away from home, packages and snacks and other goodies are sent to their campus addresses twice a year.  All church members are encouraged to donate snacks and treats and help pack the boxes during designated Sunday School time.  If you are, or have, a college student who will be living away from home this school year, please contact the church office with campus mailing address information.

Trunk or Treat - The Sunday prior to Halloween, church members and preschool families park in the back of the CUMC parking lot, decorate their cars and hand out candy and small trinkets to children who come by to Trick-or-Treat.  If the weather is not cooperating we will move it inside and have a "Trick-or-Treat Trail". This is a great event for families and trick-or-treating is open to all.

Cookie Shoppe - Every December, the Susannah Wesley Circle sells tins of home-baked cookies in various sizes.  Funds raised are donated to a charity chosen by the group each year.  You can help out and get some yummy cookies without doing the work yourself!  The cookie shop takes place in early December.

Santa Breakfast - Santa comes to Fellowship Hall and children and their families can come and have pancakes and sausage and talk with Santa and have their picture taken with him.  Cost is minimal for members of our church and proceeds raised at the November Pancake breakfast allow us to invite Community Services clients to see Santa and have breakfast as our guests.  This fun morning gets EVERYONE in the Christmas spirit!  The Santa breakfast is typically held the second Saturday in December.

  • GriefShare

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. This is a Biblically-based video series; after we view the video, we'll have a time of discussion. We'll meet each Wednesday at 2 PM, online. Cost for the 13 week series is $20 (scholarships are available). This program is open to people outside of our church, too-please invite anyone in your life who may benefit. Check our Events and Sign Ups page to register for the current session.
