I'm New here...

Welcome!  We are glad you are checking us out!  We know that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating.  We hope that this information will help you feel a little more comfortable visiting Christ UMC.  Please get to know us.  Wherever you are on your faith journey we want to welcome you with open hearts, open minds and open doors.  If you'd like to speak with someone before visiting, please feel free to call the office any time at 215-855-1643 or email one of our pastors if that is more comfortable for you.

How do i get to Christ UMC?

Christ United Methodist Church is located in Montgomery County very convenient to the Pennsylvania Turnpike (off the Lansdale Exit).  We are located at 1020 S. Valley Forge Rd in Lansdale.  We are between Allentown Rd. and Sumneytown Pike (Route 63).  We are across from Brittany Pointe Estates. Give us a call if you need further information at 215-855-1643.  We look forward to meeting you!

Okay.  We want to visit.  What can I expect?

Our parking lot and main entrance are in the rear of the church.  Please park your car and come in our lobby entrance.  We will have greeters and ushers that can assist you and you can stop by the welcome table.  On the welcome table we have information packets for the adults and welcome bags for the kids that are visiting as well.  Please feel free to introduce yourself and make someone aware of any needs that you have.  We have recently remodeled and we have 2 ADA accessible restrooms and our church is wheelchair accessible.  We have 3 areas within the sanctuary where those with wheelchairs can sit.

We have two worship services, one at 8:30am and one at 11:00am.  We have Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am.  If you need help finding a classroom suitable for you, just ask!

We have a nursery available at both services and during Sunday School.  Our nursery is staffed by volunteers that have all been cleared through our Safe Sanctuaries program, so you can feel safe leaving your children with these amazing people!  Please identify yourself as a visitor so that we may have you fill out an information sheet that will identify any allergies and/or special needs your child(ren) have.  We want to do all we need to do to keep our littlest ones safe and healthy!

One question we know many people have before coming to a new church...BUT WHAT SHOULD I WEAR???

The answer here is simple.  Come as you are.  You will find a variety of attire in worship at Christ UMC.  Some people come dressed in jeans and t-shirts and others come in business casual.  If you prefer to come in a dress or a tie, that is okay to.  Please dress as you are comfortable!

What worship opportunities are available?

Worship is an essential practice for Christians. When we acknowledge who God is, our very first action should be one of adoration and praise. On Sunday mornings, we gather together in person and online to worship the one who created the world and who loves and forgives each of us. We sing songs to God and pray together as a Christian community. We celebrate worship each week at 8:30 and 11 AM. We also have an outside service in the parking lot on Sunday afternoons, weather dependent.

Please see more about our worship here.

Sunday School

We have Sunday School for All Ages!  Sunday School takes place weekly from 9:45 - 10:45.  Where needed, our Sunday School teachers are Safe Sanctuary approved and they have all clearances required.  Children that are participating in activities at Christ UMC must be registered so that we have all necessary allergy information and special needs as well as emergency contacts.  Click here to register your child (there is no charge for Sunday School, we just need to know emergency information).
